'Pleasant & Delightful (It's a Lark!) Third photo
A completely unique hand-decorated 1/8 size Lark fiddle, themed from the traditional song 'Pleasant and Delightful, the refrain of which is 'and the larks, they sang melodious'. The lyrics are the inspiration for the whole piece, and are painted around the ribs on one side. The chinrest is a nest of blue & white eggs, the fingerboard a tree with the pegs and scroll painted with leaves; and it's strung, of course, with string.
